Gerard O’dwyer…delivered a deeply moving performance as Salvador. “What About Sal?” is a poignant exploration of love, loss, and reconciliation, framed through the eyes of a young man with Down syndrome coming to terms with mortality. John Jarratt’s dual role as director and as Tommy, Sal’s estranged and troubled father, adds a raw and authentic layer to the film. Jarratt paints Tommy not just as a broken man, but as someone seeking redemption, which mirrors Sal’s quest to understand where he comes from. “What About Sal?” is a beautiful story about human connection, acceptance, and the universal desire to belong.

Breathtaking. A masterpiece. So realistic in its portrayal of the scriptures. I try to watch it every Easter. It is the passion of the Christ.

I am not a Wes Anderson convert. The movie was pointless, confusing abd irritating. A great cast was wasted. I cannot believe it received awards.

I like M. Night Shyamalan and so, I am a bit biased. I thought it was good but not his best film. See if you can pick him in the film. He always makes a cameo appearance.

As much as I like Tim Roth I could not get into this movie. His lack of motivation and there is little dialogue in the film. You have to wait to the end of the film to understand why. Don’t get me wrong, Tim still acts well but I found the movie difficult to watch and depressing.

I love the way the series flips on it’s head. A vampire is an Angel but we never mention the term, “Vampire” in this series. It incorporates Catholic rites and scriptures into a black mass. I did not anticipate or expect the twist in the tale.

Abominable acting and overall a poor attempt at science fiction. A real lemon. Does not even rate as a “B” grade movie.

True Tarantino style. An alternative view of the Sharon Tate/ Manson family murders. They always said that the Manson family went to Sharon Tates home by mistake. This, Tarantino takes us to the house next door. A What if? (Alternative ending). Love the cast and the acting and especially our Margo as Sharon. So sixties and beautiful. Aldo what a brilliant soundtrack. Loved the film. Birdy.

For the true fans it was a pleasure to watch this movie. Yes there wasn’t much depth to the movie. It was an outline or a sketch but the essence of the group from about the release of ”A day at the races” to ”Live Aid”. Rami Malek was excellent, albeit after a slightly awkward start and I am glad we did not go into Freddies death. They captured ”Live Aid” so darn well. That was very emotional!
