I’m giving it a two. The acting..Great. The cast.. Great. The plot.. Ehh. I grew up watching Twister. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. I respect the direction of the film not following the original story but I felt like there was more potential to the film and it just didn’t show. I loved how there was some similarities from the original that was put in to Twisters. For example, my favorite detail was Katie’s outfit and how it resembled Hellen Hunt’s outfit when the tornado hit the drive-in theatre. A lot of these remake movies turn out to be a flop for me. I have yet found a good remake. I think what would’ve helped is more connections to the original movie. Maybe if they presented the original cast I think that could’ve been cool. The storyline to me was just basic and not very moving. It took me 3 days to finish the movie and I almost gave up. It was boring and I fell asleep twice watching it. I wouldn’t say it was a waste of time.. but definitely a movie that’s not worth rewatching. Also wanted to note that a lot of the details were too unrealistic for me. SPOILER: At the end of the movie when the tornado hits the theater and the tornado rips through the wall and it’s like watching the tornado on the screen. To me that was cringy.. I see how one could find it artistic but it just wasn’t realistic. Another one was how the tornado (definitely a EF4 or EF5) flipped Katie’s truck but it didn’t suck it up.. again unrealistic. Throughout the movie, they showed people getting sucked into the tornado but when it came to the actual main cast, they were in the same but worse conditions without actually having any affect and to me just looked poorly put together. Like i obviously know the main cast can’t be killed off.. but again just unrealistic and it contradicted the story. One more thing i thought was cringy MORE SPOILERS: Tyler and his gang driving through the tornados and shooting fireworks in them. I just didn’t like that and that’s my personal opinion. In conclusion, I personally think Twister was more realistic than Twisters and they had flying cows 😂

I will say, I have read some of Nicholas Sparks books and Counting Miracles is definitely a bit different than his typical books. I listened and read some of the reviews after reading and i disagree with alot of the negative comments. The only negative thing I could say about reading the book was that it does go a bit slow but it goes into such a great depth of detail and he truly did a great job with making well-rounded characters and a storyline. A lot of people didn’t like the structure of his chapters along with the jumping of heads to tell different perspectives. My opinion, I liked the structure because it helped move the story along and you can visualize the scenes changes and i really enjoyed and respected his choice in structuring the story like that. As for the change in different perspectives, it was only 3 characters you saw from different perspectives. I don’t think it was anything crazy and I think each character had their own story to tell and I liked how he connected the characters together. So that’s my overall opinion of the book.
