The play based on this book is being produced at saddleback college in mission Viejo California in the spring of 2023 I am boycotting the play in the interest of and the protection of the autistic and Asperger's community as unfair. The 15 year old protagonist is assumed to have been the one to kill a dog with a fork never mind that there are other adult characters with personality emotionally and mentally abusive personality disorders and the neighbors all sitting in judgement. This play is vile and any attempt to clean it up at the end and find the real culprit is way too little and way too late
