I gave it 3-stars just because I was such a huge fan of the books but boy, am I disappointed very much and inclined to give less. The racebending of Annabeth is bad enough already but worse is nothing feels right and many differs greatly from the books. In episode 1 alone, many scenes are unsatisfactory. Mrs Dodds fight has no thrill. Minotaur fight has none either. Percy finding out about his demigod status is unlike the books and in itself lame. There's no scene on Percy finding out about being good with swords and he starts going on a quest without even a bit of training ‌and improving any good swordsmanship either, which is also lame. And where's the light-hearted humour that is the heart of all Percy Jackson stories? Come on, after all this expectation, this is just a huge disappointment. And I'm not even talking anything about casting choices. I will watch till the end and hope for improvements but never in my life have I been so bored by a greek mythology story, and a Percy Jackson story at that.
