This book is really sweet and fun but it's also very real and necessary. The author does a lovely job intersecting race, religion, sexuality, class, mental health and identity in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. I bought it for my LGBTQIA+ library and suspect that the youth in my program will appreciate this novel as much as I do.
