I watched the entire season in a day! The character development for each character, the moral of the drama and the plot twists all together I'd give this a 10/10. If I ever wanted to become a teacher I'd make sure my students watch this Jdrama/show! It covered many important topics such as bullying (cyberbullying, verbal bullying) cancel culture and netizens toxicity. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone!! It showed the basic ideology to "think before taking action." GU KURU PA This was mentioned in the drama- "When you make an important decision, if you stay firm (Gutto), and use your mind to think (Kurutto), the right answer will pop out (Patto)." It's such an obvious way of thinking but sometimes people need to be reminded of the consequences they or the person being hurt would face just from saying or doing something recklessly. Social media plays a huge role in many of our lives and the internet gives many people the freedom to say whatever they want without realizing how much it can affect someone. It's so easy to tell someone "to die" or to "cancel them" but why can't we help educate others and help them learn from their mistakes without "cancelling them". How can they move on from their mistake if we keep bringing it up and never forgiving them (Honestly this drama really makes you think "what if I was in that position? What if I was experiencing the situation of doing something or saying something stupid without realizing it? What if I thought what I was doing was right but later realized I was in the wrong? What If I really regretted what I've done and I'm now trying my best to learn and educate myself from the situation to make sure the mistake never occurs again? And after recognizing and realizing what was said earlier and trying to change myself for the better- all I get are death threats, continuously being told "you're just sorry you've been caught"/"cancelled", being told about the same mistake/s you've made everywhere you go even though you tried to move on and continue your life from the incident. The mistake you've made will always be there it can't be removed, however, what's important is that you learn from it and become a better version of yourself from it.(Why can't people point that out *the fact that someone is trying their best to move on and do better and be a better version of themself* instead of continuously pointing out their mistakes (Even though it does sound like the bare minimum it's better to acknowledge one's improvements rather than their wrongdoings) *unless it does occur again* To stop the same mistake from occurring again we need to make the person realize their mistake WITHOUT sending death threats or cancelling them but by making them reflect and acknowledge their mistake/s with open hands. It's so easy to pick on the negative things of people. I myself noticed that I got annoyed by some of the actions and thinking from different characters but Mr. Hiigari with his patience (and his duty as a teacher from his pov) gave it his all even taking the risk of sacrificing his own life to really make each student reflect on the way they are and learn from and recognize their past behaviours. Although I was very annoyed by almost all the characters within the first couple of episodes I ended up liking them all by the end. If Mr. Hiigari never gave a flying f about any of them, each and every character would have stayed the same. They would have been part of the toxic side of people (having the stubborn, spoiled, "always the victim" mentality). Will definitely make the right ones a better person after watching
