The main character was pretty insufferable. She seemed to give herself zero autonomy over her choices, which meant zero accountability for her actions or impacts. The dialogue and relationships seemed very unrealistic, and the main character came off as whiny, naive, and self-important. I have rom-com books, but this gave the genre a bad look.
