Best complex LOVE story I’ve ever seen!❤️ Beats any USA series. This story revolves around Sureyya, a beautiful singer & musician & an older WEALTHY business tycoon. She faces many obstacles as they fall in love after Farouk relentlessly pursues her & finally wins her heart. Farouk ‘s mother immediately hates Sureyya as “that type of wife” doesn’t suit her plans for her first born son. I couldn’t stop watching this series as it portrays human love, hate, jealousy, pain & loss. It’s based on a true story. All the actors are PERFECT for their characters.. you actually believe Farouk & Sureyya are truly in love in REAL LIFE! The casting, scenery, music etc is all exceptional! It’s EXCEPTIONAL! I know I will watch it again… nothing I’ve seen compares to this beautiful story❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The actors are great in their chilling performances but I gave it 1 star as it depicts the height of DEPRAVITY! I cannot recommend watching it & I will probably have nightmares. I should have read what it was about and NOT watched this GARBAGE!

Doris Day & Rex Harrison are excellent in this movie. I’ve seen it many times & still enjoy it even though it was made in 1960! Doris Day shows her dramatic acting skills… the ending has a twist. Her beautiful array of costumes bring back a more elegant time when ladies “dressed” beautifully even when they went to the office or just to shop! Doris always had a wonderful figure & knew how to dress & I just love the clothes she wore in this film. It reminds me of a Hitchcock film like “Marnie”. It’s set in London & walking through the “foggy & eerie” park add to the chilly fear that someone is trying to kill her. It’s not bloody or gory like today’s films, much more subtle but still gets its point across. I think ladies will probably enjoy it more than a man will. You can’t really go wrong watching a Doris Day movie & I love this one. Myrna Loy as her aunt is wonderful!
