They took the soul of this series and completely killed it. Everyone involved in the "rewriting" of this series should be ashamed. They took a classic and butchered it. This series could have had legs if they did it as a continuation of the story from where it ended, or if it was attempting to just create a new side arch. Instead you're left with an amalgamation of events that happened in the anime series, blended with new writing to fit the plot differences that the "creative writers" of the Netflix series felt they needed to add. This is very clearly a money grab off nostalgia and nothing else. The "cool guy" feeling of spike is gone, Fey just feels like a bratty teenager, the only way they can get her characters attitude across is with lude language and facial expressions. This isn't a knock on the casting, I actually enjoy the other works most of the cast has done. They're stuck with an awful script and doing the best they can to try to make it work. The whole series is a train wreck and should be scrapped. This feels like you gave the rights for The Stand to Michael Bay and he added robots and aliens to it just to have something to explode. Please pull the ripcord on this series, it should never be touched again by the people involved in this rewriting.
