You ask an Indie Developer to make an open world Pokemon game, but because you're short on budget you could only get someone with a small amount of experience.
Their experience is based on using State Machines and porting models into the game.
You'd also recently fired your Q&A team and hadn't played any of the game yet since it started development.
Fortunately, you still had the models from other Pokemon games to import but they were built on the HD render pipeline, but you're using the built-in render pipeline for the game and cbf making changes in size or shaders.
Later that night you realise you have plans for 2023 so the game needs to be released before any finishing touches can be applied.
Congratulations, you've now made the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!
But in all honesty, it's not a bad game, though it's really not worth the price tag for the half cooked game they made.
