A true testament to the technology of our time, Alita: Battle Angel takes CGI realism to new heights. The character development is truly endearing as Alita learns in love and loss, and the action is seamlessly entertaining. Though the only "unbelievable" element was Christoph Waltz wielding a rocket-sledge, I think the creators were just being true to the manga; so not only can I overlook it, I can respect it.
I can understand the initial apprehension some of you may have in seeing this film, as I, too, wondered if it would be worth it. I can tell you now, it's worth every penny to see on the big screen.
While I don't believe it has enough niche appeal to be a classic, there's no arguing that it's a CGI/cinematic masterpiece that cannot, and should not, be overlooked.
