My least favorite scream movie. (SPOILERS AHEAD) Acting was pretty bad especially from the main girl. I’m not offended over swear words at all but they said the f bomb 104 times to be exact (I know that’s nothing compared to a lot of films but still) completely unnecessary in my opinion and it just felt so forced. Not that big of a deal really but to those of you who are sensitive to swear words (particularly the F word) just be warned. The way Dewey died was so bad. A 5’2” teenage girl kills a legendary character pretty much with no effort. That’s just laughable. The kill scenes were pretty good, I don’t know why they killed that one mullet dude outside the bar, he was such a random character and that felt like a waste of time. I guess it sort of made it look like it was the jock boyfriend who was the killer but not really. And how did the jock boyfriend survive? He got stabbed like 20 times and was left to bleed out for a good 15-20 minutes. The best kill of the movie was easily when they shot the girl killer and lit her on fire. It was so satisfying to watch her go. The scene where Tara is in the hospital and the lights go out for a solid 15 minutes and she’s completely alone is just absurd. Is this taking place during the zombie apocalypse? Where is everyone in the hospital? No security guards? (Except for the one that was killed) No hospital staff? I mean there was literally nobody there except for Ghostface, Sam, Dewey, Tara and Richie. I did however love the ending because that’s when it felt the most like a scream movie. When the killer you thought was dead comes running at the main character(s) and they have to kill them again. It’s just funny to me and I like that about the scream movies and I’m glad they did it in this one. Overall though, this didn’t feel like a scream movie at all. It was lacking something big but I can’t put my finger on it. I’d give this movie a 4/10 at best and I don’t plan on watching it again. Save your money and wait for it to come out on Netflix or some other streaming service.

This is seriously one of the worst horror movies I’ve ever watched. I wish I could give it 0 stars
