One of the best Imtiaz Ali works. Was a huge fan of Diljit prior to this but not for a second did I feel him different than Chamkila. The movie kept me going on and watching it without pause. The flashbacks have proven that the direction and cinematography has done justice to the real events that had taken place in Punjab in 1980-90. Evidently some of the scenes are depicted very carefully in order to not to provoke sentiments of people even today. Was waiting for the Imtiaz Ali master class for quite some time now. It did not disappoint. Must watch to know the real history of the most selling record artist of Punjab.🙌🏻

Overall, amazing acting by Amitabh Bachchan at 80, cast was nice. Sunil Grover rocked his role in the movie. I don't see the point of making a movie on such experience, I mean some parts were important, but movie was dragging a bit.. Simple story line, too much emotional people, keep your handkeys ready.
