BUSTER MAYHEM

This film deserves to be more well known. It's visually stunning and well made. It's quotable as well. I recall it being on TV once in the late 80's. I didn't get to see much of it, but I knew I wanted to watch it. For years I Couldn't find it anywhere. I finally got hold of the DVD. I watched it in full a few nights ago. Sheer cinematic bliss. I should also mention that I am not a fan of movies that take place so long ago. For some reason, that doesn't have any bearing on how I feel about this film. It is a masterpiece.

Solid movie. There's more focus on actual boxing this time around and more Adrian. It hits alot of the heights that the viewer expects. The pace of the movie is a little inconsistent, but it is, I believe, stallone's directorial debut. All characters motivations are easily understood and there are no weak performances from any of the actors. Supporting cast, Burt Young, Tony Burton, and Joe Spinell are especially valuable in telling this chapter of the Rocky Story.
