Good concept, but horrible writing, clearly y'all have Ann, Selena Gomez, the sons girlfriend for over a year and they were definitely in serious love with one another, cause Ann was deeply hurt and crying at the reception, did take advantage of the son's girlfriend's love for the son, I sure would've written in more scenes about the girl my son so deeply loved. Ann even confronts the dad and still no follow up of care what happens to the love of my son's life. I'm not talking about Selena's character, Ann prying for lead role Oscar nomination. It's just the lake of interest and care for the girl my son cared for deeply. Even after the father hurt Ann and Ann confronting the father, his lake of care of that he practically destroyed he life and just didn't care. Selena, as a very accomplished singer herself, could've been incorporated into the movie and gave the movie a lot more flavor, especially if Ann, Selena's character might have been helping the son with his songs. I just think it was a missed opportunity to bring a lot more flare and colour's to a relatively dull, boring with a lack of enthusiasm. My goodness, Selena Gomez under contract, on set, on time everyday and do not access that potential that could've been for this movie. Great concept, but that's about as far as it went for me. I'm sorry for being so harsh, but it seems like the movie was written by two preteen brothers that wouldn't allow their little sister into their room. There was no flar no pazazz, nothing there that should've made you have a tear or two rolling down my cheeks, especially with Ann, Selena's character breaking down emotional distraught and clearly loved his son that she couldn't hold in the tears any longer and the father just looks at her with zero, nada expression on his face that his son's girlfriend for over a year had this emotional breakdown in front of me and didn't say or do anything to comfort the girl his son loved, wow, this movie missed and could've been better, but it was just gray looking. I apologize to the writers, but it's just my opinion and Macy's direction, was middle of the road, he knows this, well he should know, this could've been a better movie.
