This marvelous book is almost like a fable filled with memorable characters like a dog who knows more than 900 words and a minister who is most successful when admitting he really doesn’t believe in God. Improbable coincidences and the improbable inability of heroine Elizabeth Zott to accept any sort of unfair societal strictures ultimately lead to amazing outcomes and relationships that leave the reader laughing out loud and savoring the delicious outcomes in so many ways. Author Bonnie Garmus has a truly special voice and talent for seeing life in a very fresh way indeed. I didn’t want the book to end.
