An angst-ridden central character who is sort of a young adult version of Holden Caulfield roams a cityscape of teen gangs, performance artists, and old flames while trying to find direction after his golfer father cuts him off financially. Highly recommended.

A great study in various genres, delivered in a small canvas format. I particularly enjoyed "Opening Day @ the Races" because of its gonzo style. "The Vista Inn" was a great horror journey, and the flash fiction offers complete stories in a single page or less. Highly Recommended. A++

Difficult watching what a poor actress Brooke Shields is. I find myself making excuses for her, such as how poor the writing is and how she's not given an opportunity to act. But on closer examination I can see no depth in her and an inability to portray the mother character.

An interesting collection of poems that seem to revolve around the poet's disfigurement. There is a Bukowski sensibility to the world through this poet's feelings, including the Stick-It-To-Man attitude that defies the flesh-and-blood world of daily living and dying. Two thumbs up.
