I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the best movies I have and will ever watch in my lifetime. I watched it, cried my eyes out, watched it again and found myself replaying almost 90% of the movie just so I could see it one more time. I cannot move past the pure talent that oozes from Timothée Chalamet. I have watched every film that this man has played in and each and every time I am more and more blown away, he is an actor who could tell a whole story just by his eyes - as he does in the final scene. Easily the greatest actor of this century and so early in his career, this man is going places and at rapid speed. I don’t know how he’ll do it, but I cannot wait to watch his career continue to grow. The storyline in itself if such an eye opening tell. Two people expressing nothing but love and vulnerability, to feel for each other in such an unabashed way, all while knowing it is inevitably going to be torn away.. A heart wrenching lesson for Elio, though there was no consequence, no judgement, no punishment for time that the 2 lovers spent together and I think that is the greatest take away of this story. An incredibly wholesome film.
