I think people go to deep about things...Just enjoy! I saw the movie twice and could see it again. It was refreshing and they clearly said it was a Movie/Musical so it's going to have lots of sing and dance.If you saw the first one you can appreciate this movie cause I was able to follow along the different scenes that I remember from the first movie. Only thing I didn't like was Shug Avery clothing...they could have made her more fancy cause she wore better clothes in the first movie...That Steppin the men did was on point...the movie was upbeat and left you with a good feeling at the end when they all came together including MR.
