The movie is quick paced and doesn't really get you bored with good performances by the cast. However, Valak is a bit disappointing with a few cheap jump scares here (the now cliched Valak rising from the water scene similar to IT) there but there are a few legit well shot original scare scenes. I think they should have worked on Valak's character build up and why he continues to take the form of the nun even after the nuns at the congregation know about his presence. Valak also plays on people's fears and is able to gauge their past troubled experiences and use it against them (again similar to IT). Overall, I would say this is a good flick and worth the watch. Looking forward to the sequel which will be be interesting with how they take the story forward as The Nun ties in with the conjuring universe just before the credits begin to roll.
