A confident and focused adaptation of a brilliant book series. Takes a dense, exposition-heavy trilogy and streamlines the narrative to great effect. The books were wonderful, but the show is an improvement on the source material. Cixin Liu's ideas are preserved, while giving the audience a more tight-knit core of characters to become invested in.
