SPOILER WARNING!! The fantasy and world building was great but the sexual parts really made me upset. I don’t even know or why it just felt so lacking romance and it was so sad and it’s made me really sad for the past few days. I really don’t recommend reading this because I couldn’t finish it and the sexual parts of the book won’t get out of my mind and the sexual parts disgust me so it’s damaging how I feel. I also don’t like Tamlin how he’s described so beautifully because when you dislike people you usually see them worse, I understand Feyre had glamour but I don’t think that would of made her think Tamlin is completely attractive. Tamlin and Feyre’s connection feels so dry I would actually prefer if Feyre was with Lucien. Tamlin is your stereotypical love interest, manly, muscular, a ‘gentle’ side - the gentle side is never actually gentle they just are a normal human who isn’t always rough -, then in his animal shapeshifter form he’s full of ‘primal fury’ just eugh. Feyre was stupid and I didn’t like her character much, during Calanmai Feyre was told to not leave her room but she did and she even went to the festival, she also seems like a bit weird - in one scene during Calanmai she goes downstairs to have a midnight snack and has HALF a loaf of bread, a slice of cheese and a cookie, who is eating HALF a loaf of bread how hungry is she? Like I get it but make yourself sandwich’s or instant noodles or something. NEXT after Tamlin kisses her bloody palms and gets blood on his lip, Feyre describes a warm feeling in her cheeks and a warm pounding feeling between her legs - can a kiss on the palm really get you aroused so quickly? - so I think that’s unrealistic. Next during Calanmai he says all the weird stuff before pinning her against the wall and that was disgusting. I would not read again I would NOT recommend I would rather Feyre got with Rhysand or Lucien.
