It was obviously painful to see how the outstanding Puss in Boots character and context was reduced to a Saturday morning cartoon level. I suspect the producers put pressure on the creative teams to speed up production, which they did incredibly well, I may add, by using a “upgraded cutout filter” to reduce the memory load as well as speeding up the action scenes. Great professional craftsmanship but unfortunately not a great masterpiece. It could have been. Sad!
