I watch this every morning and it's a great way of learning what is going in in the news.
However, today, 30th May I was shocked at how out of touch your presenters were about the rise in food prices.
Cut price, no frills large blocks of cheese have risen in price from £4.99 per kilo to £10 per kilo. Eggs were £1.50 for 12 not £2.60 as your presenter said and are now £2.80 and I have not seen a full 800g loaf for 39p anywhere..
Brown pasta was 49p for 500g of asda own brand is now 99p which is 100% rise. Also some supermarkets are playing clever tricks to make shopping more expensive, for instance fresh berries were not available online on the shelves but for asda basics they were available as long as you bought 2 packs. If you can't afford one you certainly can't afford 2. You need to ask real people to find out how serious the food crisis is. I only have the same money to spend on a weekly shop but I get far less for the same money. This means that supermarkets should be making a loss as people are relativly buying less so how are they making profits unless the rises are generated by them and not because of shortages. The Tories are just letting the supermarket giants get away with profiteering because of a war and a pandemic and yet looters would be shot for this same action in war time.
