Based on other reviews, this seems to be a love it or hate it book. I loved it! I was concerned I might be uncomfortable if the author got too graphic with the abuse descriptions but she does not. I found the book interesting in how the authorities handled things once she began to tell about her home situation. I couldn’t put the book down. I’ve Googled and do believe indeed this book is based on true events. I highly recommend this book!
