Four episodes in and not one character at any point has actually said the word autism!!!?? Like it's a dirty word or something!? Eugh!
Patronising, warped, cookie-cutter, pigeon-holed, melodramatic portrayals. No subtlety. Little diversity (it's a *spectrum,* FFS!), over-emphasis on antagonisms and frictions.
Actually angering that this is getting lauded so much.
Not that it's likely, but anyone rating this 5 stars (or about to), please read the one and 2 star reviews first - nearly all are by people actually 'on the spectrum' or very close to those who are. For good reason. May as well just go back 30+ years and watch Rain Man, this has not got any better. A much better (while still flawed), yet sadly latterly cancelled show to watch instead is, "Atypical."
