Being I actually tuned in Oct 11/75 at 15 yrs of age, I’ve have watched the show faithfully. The depiction of the shows opening nite, is not far off from the bio’s on the show and it’s beginning was not far off. Sure curtain movie scripts will take liberty, and write some out of place scenes. However, to depict this epic show and rich history for NBC, and launch many a stars. For me, the cast nailed it, and most the situations thru out the film did really happen. As there was many references to future skits..I mean sketch’s or ideas referrals that would be used in future shows. Meanwhile, the utter madness, that Lorne Michaels (brilliantly played by Gabriel Labelle ) with show and getting it successfully on air….well is simple amazing insanity the show ever got off the ground.
