I was excited for this movie, as I have loved the “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before Franchise” and of course, who hasn’t loved Cole Sprouse as Jughead in Riverdale. But I was very disappointed with this movie. I was specifically disappointed with how Walt was portrayed. His love for adventure takes him to Mars but the whole time he is painted as a useless, average person who’s only purpose is to chase after “love”. I wish they gave Walt more of a purpose or a better ending where he finds that he is also brilliant and talented in his own way, instead of just making him chase after ANOTHER girl. They should’ve given him his own ambitions apart from chasing after these girls and only being an unintelligent barista. I wish they would’ve made him more of a dynamic character.
