The Crowded Room was the best series I've seen in a long time. Huge props to the writers for exploring difficult and layered subjects with such intelligence and sensitivity. Rya's ambition to be recognised in a male-dominated profession was also very compelling. Even the courtroom scenes were riveting, and the opening statements were beautifully written and delivered. I don't know why critics liked Black Bird better even though Black Bird was the one that was repetitive and ultimately failed to deliver a strong storyline. Every scene in The Crowded Room was intentional, and you can tell how much thought goes into every frame and every line. Overall, a provocative and poignant story supported by a talented cast.
