Elise Cole

I honestly struggled, nearly DNF. Story was interesting enough and I enjoyed Cole's POV but Mara's character development is predictable and juvenile. While I understand her character is supposed to be like that at times because of her childhood, I just could not move past the fact she acts like a 12 year old emo girl, especially when it comes to music, trying so hard to push a certain aesthetic it almost seemed forced and made me cringe with her wording sometimes. It just felt more like a YA book, with sex scenes YA shouldn't be reading.
