An old story told a thousand times, now adapted and brought to life through film and paint. Released in the 21st century, it feels unconvincing at times, with farmers' wives inexplicably adorned in pearl necklaces. In the village, men smoke cigarettes that seem out of place, and Polish dances strangely resemble tangos. While some may find enjoyment in the film's artistic flair and visual vibrancy, for me, it only resulted in a strained experience. The flickering scenes, intended to captivate, instead left me disoriented and longing for a more coherent storytelling approach. Despite its flaws, perhaps there's an audience that finds charm in its unique presentation.
