The kind of album you really DON'T NEED if you appreciate the true source. Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney are some of the collaborators here; forgettable renditions of their classics. Beyonce's vocals are limited, inane, only elevated by occasional harmonies. Still, the original compositions (not the cover versions) here sound like mere repetitive transitions, with the exception of the catchy radio hit "Texas Hold 'Em". Summing up, this is an unappealing album completely devoid of a heart, contrary to what the stories told through song in country music should be.
