A compelling true story of a years-long search to uncover the fate of a Jewish actress executed in the Holocaust. Along the way, offers an overview of the Holocaust timeline and, more important, an intimate education about many obscure and local aspects of the fate of European Jews that don't make it into history books. I was riveted to the story, appreciated the good writing, and learned a lot. I was also moved to tears more than once.
