Pure delusion…viewers should watch the movie and then read scientific and philosophical studies such as the book ‘Immortality’ and ‘Denial of Death’.

I wish I could agree that this movie is worth watching. I found it tediously boring, slow moving, and tortuous in plot. While the performances were wonderful, my patience wore out after about one hour into the film. Roger Ebert’s stellar review in 1985 was perhaps good in it’s era, but now in the 2020’s, the plot has become a bit trite in my mind’s eye.

Very well done. Great plot, excellent acting. The film had a very European feel to it. It almost seemed as though it was based on a play.

Slow as molasses in January…disappointed.

Extraordinary movie! Tells the dramatic story of two iconic popes and their relationship. The casting, photography, and acting...all superb!
