GOTY 2020. Took creative risks, and openly acknowledges that Joel and Ellie's story isn't the only thing in this world. Addresses emotions and social constructs in our world in and interesting, unique way without cliche or formulaic conclusions that the general public has come to love. There is no happy ending, there is no perfect conclusion, but it is all very intentional. This game made me feel things, and the gameplay was interesting / well expanded upon throughout the game. The game has some of the best rope physics I have ever seen and I really wish they would have expanded upon them. Far better than the first game, which in my opinion is overrated and the gameplay is ripped straight from a 2005 splinter cell game. The only thing TLOU1 had going for it was the narrative, and TLOU2 in my opinion really freshens up the formula, and makes "going loud" a viable option. AI feels intelligent and alive.
Overall for me, 9/10.
