If you prefer your films to take the trouble to be historically accurate this one should be avoided at all costs. It's utterly laughable. Here we have a mountainous Nottinghamshire, immaculate colourful peasants, no mud anywhere, Robin not using an English long bow and Nottingham Castle transposed to the Southern Med. Think Planet of the Apes ( 1970s ) and its that sort of dross. It makes one wonder why anyone with any taste would allow this script to encroach onto more than one page.
