Love Melanie. Hate Portals. This album will not be appreciated in time. Most of the songs are filled with tacky, uncomfortable lyrics that are too risky to be considered art— I would consider this album a failure. I understand Melanie’s vision and I give her credit for her creativity, but I am being completely honest and unbiased when I say Portals did not fail to disappoint.
