Pippa – Google

This movie had potential but just seemed to crack under lacklustre writing. The scenery is nice in the beginning and was easy to settle into but the characters and their introductions were very rushed and suddenly we're spending an hour in a cave while Elodie rolls around hiding. The constant moaning and screaming made it tough to listen to and it just got boring after a while, the ending was also rushed and not enough time was devoted to the characters development towards the end. All in all, very rushed considering not much happens for the entire middle of the movie, they definitely could have used some of that time.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad show, more of a 'put on in the background' kind of show. It was definitely out of the creators skill set. It had potential to make a good movie but unfortunately as of late there's an obsession with turning everything into a series or mini series. They just didn't have the content for that. The constant pointless flashbacks droned on and added nothing to the storyline. It seemed purely just to drag it out. They tried.

I tried so hard to enjoy this and I really wanted to, but it was just... Poorly done. The problem with movies and series these days is they have 'boxes' to tick and they completely mess up the storyline desperately trying to tick these boxes rather than let the story and characters come naturally. It was very obvious this series was trying to include EVERYTHING and they lost the storyline on the way. It was disappointing to see such a good idea go to waste and it just dragged and dragged.
