I remember seeing this movie in theaters with my dad at seven years old. I had become a fan at an early age after watching Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Kahn. The line was long and I remember listening to people reminiscing about TWOK. It was so exciting for a kid who fell in love with Star Trek at an early age. The score from James Horner had me very emotional at an early age. Stealing the enterprise is one of my favorite action, and music set pieces. Watching the scene where Kirk and crew detonated the Enterprise with the Klingons on board was a cool but sad sequence. The Enterprise constitution refit is my favorite starship in sci-fi history, alongside the Millennium Falcon. I watch the Star Trek movies 1-6 on regular basis. I'm 47 now and to me, these movies never gets old.
