I enjoyed the film so much, I was surprised that it would be scarier than the previous installments that have ever existed. I'm happy that Judy and the legacy characters (Dewey, Gale and Sidney) returned, while working with Sam, Richie, Amber, Liv, Chad, Mindy, Wes, Tara and let's not forget Billy who first worked with the trio since the premiere in 1996. It was shocking to see Judy (the survivor of the fourth film) getting killed arriving home to safe her son and Dewey (the legacy character of the first four films) killed off too while saving Sam and Tara's life. To see Gale returning after Judy was killed and Sidney after Dewey was killed, I don't know what's their issue of rating the movie one star, two stars or three stars. I saw the movie with my lady cousin, she wanted to watch it and she didn't watched it first when it came to theaters in January 2022. She felt anxiety and didn't want Tara to die in the opening sequence, then suspected of Richie and Amber, when she found out they were Ghostface the entire time, she knew it all along. She was confused of why they had to say that the new actors weren't there before, I had to explain to her that Judy had a son, met the Carpenters and the twins in the 2011 Woodsboro Massacre Remake, back when Jill and Charlie were the killers. She didn't liked Sidney, because she had a sixth sense that she would steal the show, she didn't liked Ghostface either, because he shows up in every scene. The attacks, the killings and the gore were terrifying than the previous films, she was desperate for the movie to end. She thought the twins could die, so as Tara. She didn't wanted Sidney to be involved when the next one comes to theaters in five months, I told her she won't have to criticize the actress, because she won't be starring in the next one. If she rated the film three out of five stars, liking the content but not loving the movie, I rated the film five out of five stars. She didn't see the actors that were introduced in the ending credits, basically she's not a horror fanatic, she should stick with anime. When Scream 6 comes, I'll go watch it without her, never judge a book by its cover. I even saw her typing her boyfriend and I had to ignore it and I did respected her opinions, nobody shares the love and passion for horror movies as I am. I loved all of it, ngl. She was surprised that Vince was Stu Macher's nephew, Sam being Billy Loomis' daughter, Chad and Mindy being Randy Meeks' nephews.
