The first two seasons were awesome! The anticipation of season 3 was grueling as the new season's air date was pushed back a couple of times while I anxiously waited. When S3E1 finally aired, I was thrilled the day had arrived. I looked forward to enjoying another great season. The first few episodes were engaging, but unfortunately, the episodes began to drag out and plod along seemingly intentional in an effort to fill the time. After last week's episode (slower than the week before) I began to feel disappointed that the show had lost the characteristics that once made it so captivating. I found that I was spending much of my viewing time thinking, "Please! For the love of God, get on with it"! As I had done the previous weeks, I held on to the hope that this week's episode would bring with it a renewed energy and glimmer of its original titillating appeal. To my regret, this week was agonizingly dull. The only thing keeping me in front of the TV until the end was the hope that something was about to happen, and sadly, it didn't. Lately, I feel that we have been left with nothing more than episodes that end with a vague innuendo of something to come. So vague that when the series fails to deliver, the viewer isn't dismayed with broken promise. They're merely weary. Time to take a break. Perhaps, I'll drop in at "ScreenRant" just before the season finale for the recap(s) of next few episodes. At least, I can pick up the pace as needed. If by chance the story line appears to have recaptured its momentum, I will tune in for the ending. If it hasn't, it will be the end of the series for me, for sure!
