The series is somewhat meta. On the first look it seems like it is just about a princess and her marriage, etc. It has many layers and we can actually connect to it. The elf represents how in our times, people get sick of being all the time and can get depressed even though they have everything that is conventionally "happy". It is very cute, light hearted and easy to watch. Love it.
