I didn't understand why to make a movie like this. As someone who has a basic understand of evolution on life on other planets might be and organic bodies for time travel, this movie makes absolutely no effort to be realistic. An alien civilization looks just like humans with all the same emotions? Their atmosphere is perfectly match with the toxic atmosphere during the dinosaur era? Proxima Centauri is the closest star to our solar system that is 4 light years away. How in hell could he travel all the way to our solar system and back in 2 years? It just sucked.

It definitely sucked. I didn't give it a one-star because I have seen worse. I watched this movie while on the plane. It wasn't so bad I couldn't finish it but had I had anything else to watch, I definitely would have cut it off.

One of the realest and most accurate hiking and mountaineering movies I have ever seen. The acting and cinematography were outstanding. I had tears rolling down my face on more than one occasion while on my flight.

I've seen this 100 times and still love it.

This movie is still hilarious and made me LOL by myself even though I’ve seen it dozens of times over the years.

I didn't think a movie featuring The Rock and Ryan Reynolds could suck so bad... until I watched this movie. Predictable, not original, and cheesy lines made this movie seem like it was 10 hours long. I don't blame the actors, I blame the writing and overall plot of the movie.

Lot's of forced lines, typical plot, and cheesy secondary actors. I will not remember one moment from this movie in the future.

Fantastic film in every way. An absolute masterpiece of a movie.

Absolutely fantastic film as I have watched it twice and loved it just as much the 2nd time around. Matt Damon was great.
