Don't listen to the people saying the movies are better. They were trash that didn't follow the plot at all AND the cast was entirely too old. This show actually cast age accurate actors and follows the plot of the books. There's love put into this and you can tell. As a long-time book fan, I can easily say this is the adaptation we deserved - and of course it's a little goofy. It's a children's book made into a show for children, but the nostalgia hits hard. The casting choices are a little questionable, and they skipped some scenes, but other than that, it's staying faithful to the source material. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
