After the legendary and revolutionary Civ 1, this brought isometric view, some automation through advisors, and fixed some illogical things like ships being destroyed by enough phalanx, having settlers in 21st century etc. But for some reason, I did not like it as much as Civ1. I guess it's the age, mood and the novelty of Civ 1.

So much fun on so few pixels. For me, Civ1 is still competitive against all the sequels. What was not so much fun was the lack of automation of production strategy, so with 60 cities, one still had to choose the next thing to produce... But overall, this game was revolutionary and great.
