One of the most incredible films I've ever seen. Incredibly inspiring true story, wherein the magnificent dogs are the heroes, humans merely supporting cast. Breathtaking score by Vangelis. The Antarctic cinematography was brilliant, and without heavy CAD. PS The Hollywood re-warming, "Eight Below" might please if closeup facials of big names do it for you; it was a huge, but not entirely unanticipated, disappointment, in the worst re-make traditions of "Blues Brothers 2000," the remake of "Arthur," etc.

BRILLIANT, amazing cinematic craftsmanship, movie-within-a-movie. Plot line (don't ask, just watch) provides a magnificent canvas for Jitlovian insanity. Whimsical, wildly idealistic, funny, self-effacing, touching, it's got everything, 'including the kitchen sink.' A movie to love; Mike is a cinematographer and satirist "...for All Seasons." Thanks for a great score, John; and of course, heartfelt thanks to Mike for your loopy, Quixotic, wondrous labor of love.
