The original Justified was addicting fun must watch TV. Unique characters, compelling plot, good vs evil with clever humor and attitude. The soundtrack was amazing, still blasts in my car on the right highway, years later (“Beautiful City Across the Water, Harlan County Line”, etc). Boyd Crowder, Dewey Crowe- unique unforgettable quirky villains. Justified Primeval lacks the magic. Bland scenes dominate, dialogue is unnatural, characters lack charisma, the musical score feels like purposeful misdirection away from a previous winning formula. Presumably a completely new team had a new concept mandate. Bringing back Walton Goggins and Dave Alvins music starting in episode one might have set the tone and chemistry fans expected.
