Amazing concept! You rarely see this genre having these types of lead characters. So bravo for showing a transcendent love on screen that isn't catered fully to the traditional audience.
With that said, the movie showed WHY certain characters "deserved" to be loved. Jenine speaks thru her photography and is compassionate and loving. Alex is compassionate and sees the human in Tommy aside from his money. Tommy makes a huge transformation. What about Nick? He just seems to exist. His seems like a wasted main character arch. Yes he sacrificed a lot at the end but what makes him special? Hard to connect with him but the acting was great! Also, the rest of the characters and the story itself made it a great watch. I enjoyed it, flaws and all.
