Having been a patient of Sutter Roseville's who REALLY did save my life, finds this evenings broadcast on Sutter Healthcare which focused on COST entirely misses the point of Medical Care which is "Standard of Care".
Although a long story, I had 2 separate situations with another Major Medical institution in the State of California that MAY indeed on the surface been less expensive expensive, however either of the situations could easily have cost me my life. One one which nearly did..................
While laying on a gurney in the hallway of Major Medical institutions Emergency Room for 14 hours, after having been rushed there by ambulance by their "Imaging Center" because they feared I was going to Stroke Out, I never bothered to ask "how much was it going to cost" before the Main Hospital decided to release me without care!
Bewildered we sent the scan to a 3rd hospital out of State for their opinion, which resulted in my going to Sutter IMMEDIATELY where I received an Emergency Craniotomy, which did save my life.
I would suggest 60 Minutes contact me, and they can easily check out my story for themselves which would allow them to present............"the rest of the story" rather than promote the incoming administrations position on Socialized Medicine which is an illusion by painting a picture of saving cost while actually driving costs UP while lowering the bar on the "Standard of Care".
