Not gonna lie, massive disappointment coming from every other Horizon game. I played literally every other Forza Horizon before this one. My first Horizon was 3, then I went to 4 and 5. When I heard the servers were shutting down, I went to Horizon 1 and 2 to pay them homage. Horizon 1 arrived first. I bloody love Horizon 1, one of the best damn games I’ve ever played, so given the community sentiment was that FH2 was somehow even better, that was hype. And then I played it, and now I think it’s unironically the worst game in the Horizon series. Okay where do I start •Map is a confusing cluster**** •Graphical quality is… questionable. There are trees that act like they’re straight out of super Mario 64 that just turn and stare at you as you drive past, there are some really bad textures for lakes and rivers, and there are gaps in the windows where you can see in the inside of the houses •Soundtrack is more meh than 5 (incredible achievement I know) •Progression is the worst of all the Horizon games. Like you literally just drive around Europe changing cars, racing in one location, then you go to the next •Most boring showcases the series has to offer •The most nothing burger dialogue of the entire series It’s not a bad game per say, but if you’ve played any other Horizon game before you WILL be disappointed

Ai was too easy. Like you could actually play on the hardest difficulty and there was no way in hell you would lose. Still, massive improvement from FM5

Yoshi can eat a pepper so spicy it forces him to defy the laws of physics, there’s an SM64 level, there’s a built in speed run system for individual levels, and the eels are terrifying

Name another game where Mario can turn into a worker bee, hop on a queen bee with her own gravity, and pick pieces of a literal star out of her fur. You can’t. That is because this game is perfect

I named the zombies Tony. No, not the zombie, not a zombie, almost all the necromorphs are Tony. Tony is everywhere, he is within all of us. If you ever hear a strange rattling in the vents or roars down the hall, his name is Tony. You may have to teach him some wholesome family values, he sometimes sends his toddlers to beat you up, but other than that Tony is pretty swell target practice company. He’ll get mad at you if you shoot his father out of the airlock, but time heals all wounds, Tony will come back round to cease your homeostasis. Classic Tony! It’s worth playing this game just to have a good heart to heart (or fist to face) with Tony. 10/10 Will see Tony next week to battle for control of the disintegrating Ishimura
